Birds and Wildlife

After all, we're cousins, several times removed from the four-legged animals who run from us and hide in so many cases, just as we're kin to the birds and the fish. To me, a rare glimpse of a furry wild mammal, or a close look at a bird with its immaculate markings or a powerful salmon in a river feels like a gift from the universe.

If you find that you miss seeing shy wild creatures and wish for a sighting, even a glimpse, for a listing on your life list, or even a bird in the hand or a fish on your line, here are paintings to take in as a reminder, or a bit of a good-luck wish, of an animal species in action.
